314 Bathroom

D.O.C: 09.2024

I completed the renovation and design work on this bathroom. Working closely with the client, who is a close friend, we solved many of the issues the previous bathroom had. Being a small and odd shape with a vaulted ceiling, there were many challenges to overcome. Storage and circulation were the main hurdles, along with sorting the plumbing out, as previously, the tub was on a pedestal, which posed safety issues and a general lack of functionality and comfort.

The custom built-in and vanity were designed and built by me, along with the baseboard and trim. Trades for framing, drywall, flooring, tiling, and plumbing were subcontracted.

These customs are made of baltic birch plywood, with laminate used to add a pop of colour. I used dadoes on all joinery, negative space for pulls, and the built-in has enclosed adjustable shelves.
