Shown here is a pair of side tables designed and built for a local client.

These tables are made of Baltic birch plywood and birch dowels. The finish is polyacrylic on the plywood and a torch burnt finish on the legs that creates a stark contrast between the two forms in the design of these tables.

I have given these pieces the title SHAFT after the intricate legs as they reminded me of mechanical shaft design during my engineering studies. The rich burnt finish aids in highlighting there forms.
